About Among Fighters

Some places you visit. Some places you earn your way into.
Among Fighters is a documentary channel built inside one of MMA's most legendary fight gyms — The Pit in Arroyo Grande, California. Founded in 1986 by John Hackleman, trainer of UFC champions Chuck Liddell and Glover Teixeira, this gym has produced world class fighters for four decades. What happens inside its walls on any given day is rarely filmed and almost never seen.

This channel exists because of earned access — not a press pass, not a production deal, not a reality show pitch. Just years of showing up, earning trust one layer at a time, and being allowed further in than most people ever get.

What you will find here is not highlight reels or manufactured drama. It is the real culture of a real place — the coaches who figured it out the hard way, the competitors chasing something bigger than themselves, the quiet moments between rounds that nobody thinks to film.

The gym is the main character. The people inside it are who you come back for.

No scripts. No spin.

Just life among fighters.
